The Federal Government has called on the incoming administration of General Muhammadu Buhari not to tamper with the Privatization of the Power Sector.
The Minister of Power, Mr.Chinedu Ositadinma Nebo, said this while addressing the State House journalists after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by President Goodluck Jonathan.
He was reacting to the calls made by some Nigerians on Buhari's government to review the privatization of the power sector.
According to the minister, it would be ill-advised for Buhari's government to reverse the privatization exercise.
Nebo said, reversing the power sector privatization would draw Nigeria "back many decade" as it would reverse the in-flow of investments into the country.
The minister said the incumbent government was already doing a lot in the power sector. Source: allAfrica.com:
